Summary: The SGC is in Lockdown - some of its Personnel, who mean a lot to one another, happen to be locked in the same room, at the same time, making them face up to a few truths between them!!
Ray Langston was glad to have moved from Vegas, and to have taken this job as Military Psychiatrist and Psychologist to the SGC. He was even more glad that Al had made the move with him, but the men were still not together, not how they wanted to be, and, of course, they could now hide behind the U.S.A.F Regs...
"We're in the middle of a Lockdown, Ray – There are no cameras here, no microphones, no one knows our business... Talk to me?" Al asked, not for the first time...
"You know how I feel about you..." Ray reasoned.
"Yes," Al began. "But you still won't let us be together..."
"Given our change of careers, Medical Doctors though we still are, maybe these aren't the right surroundings..." Ray obsviscated.
"The Regs say that we should not ask others, and we should not tell others... They can't stop us from getting together, and we want to get together, don't we?" Al looked into Ray's eyes.
"Yes... Yes, I do, Al... But I'm trying to protect you..." Ray explained.
"From who? You??" Al Robbins pondered aloud.
"Yeah..." Ray confided.
"I'm not such a weakling, Ray... I'm really not..." Al spoke about the fact that he had false legs.
"I don't want to hurt you..." Ray noted.
"You won't." Al let him know.
"I hope not." Ray spoke truthfully.
"We agreed that this would be a new start for us... For you, AFTER everything that you went through thanks to Haskell, and your worries about sharing you father's temper... Me AFTER my wife finally told me to go find true happiness, like I hope she is doing right now... We shouldn't waste any more time, Ray." Al spoke out.
"I know." Ray was genuine. "You know, my father's temper was hardly ever directed at me – But it was like he took great pride, I know he did, in parading his temper, and the victims of his brutal anger, by me... Like he was showing me how to be a man, in his eyes. How could I ever tell a man like that, that I was, that I am, gay? My effort to keep that to myself so no one else got hurt, led to what Haskell did to Gloria and her second husband... So, it's difficult for me to believe I should be in a relationship at all..!" Ray admitted.
"It's difficult for you to try and believe, I understand, at least, that much, I promise you... But you have to keep trying to believe it, Ray. I told you then, and I'm telling you now, you are a good man..." Al reminded him.
"That's why I should continue to make every effort never to risk hurting you..." Ray said.
Al scooted his chair closer to Ray's, and touched his hand. "Then, stop hurting me, and yourself, incidentally, and let yourself hold me.... Let me hold you..." Al looked deep into Ray's eyes. Then, he kissed him...
Ray couldn't help but allow the kiss...

Jack finally had to allow the kiss between him and Daniel to break – he didn't want to, but he had to breath... "Oh, God, Daniel..." He murmured as their lips parted...
"Don't tell me you haven't wanted that..." Daniel replied knowingly, and frustrated...
"I can't. It isn't true!" Jack confessed.
"I know it isn't..." Daniel breathed, tearfully.
"I want that, and a whole lot more!!" Jack confided.
"I know that, too..." Daniel, angry at his tears, brushed them away...
Anger boiled within Jack, and he took his shirt off again, throwing it on the floor, and announcing "Dammit!" Before unbolting, unbuckling, and dropping his pants. He stood before Daniel in his boxers, which weren't hiding much...
Daniel undressed as quickly, and clutched at Jack, naked, as Jack clutched at him.
They headed back to the showers; the place where they had been when Lockdown was announced.
This time, they were going to do what they'd wanted to be doing then, and for so long...
The End
