Summary: When Jack is home - some things start to go back to normal, other thing start that are not the norm for JD!
Info: A LiveJournal Prompt inspired this fic!
"I wanted to tell you, Daniel. You must know that!?" Jack asked.
Daniel nodded tiredly. "I get it, Jack. I truly do..."
"I would have – I know I can trust you – But we figured I was being monitored." Jack reasoned.
"And now?" Daniel pondered.
"We're as sure as we can be that they've packed up and gone home. The mission's over. I haven't gone over to the dark side." Jack added.
"I know that, Jack..." Daniel assured.
"You always sort of did, didn't you?" Jack believed his words.
"Apart from for the obvious reasons, some stuff about it just didn't sit right!" Daniel mentioned.
"It was a big lump of crap, having to go along with it all..." Jack mused.
"It's done with now. Mission's over, and, hopefully, no more spies in the bushes." Daniel noted.
"Amen to that!" Jack grinned. He paused. "It's okay, y'know, that you were a bit flustered for a while..." He looked into Daniel's eyes.
Daniel walked forward, closer still to Jack.
They stared at one another.
In the next moment, they were holding on to one another, and then, neither man wanted to let go... Their hands were wandering... Then, caressing... Then, their lips were kissing... It happened so damn quickly, with not a moment to spare, hardly a transition between one thing and the next...
"Are we sure there are no more spies in the bushes...?" Daniel breathed.
"Yes." Jack kissed Daniel's lips again. He was speaking the truth. "I know I should give a damn, just in case, but I just want to do what we want to do, Daniel... I'm fed up of standing in the parade line, like a good soldier..!"
"I don't want to get you in trouble though, Jack, or myself. It might not be the parade line we're standing in next..." Daniel said.
"Do you want to stop?" Jack asked, cautiously.
"No!" Daniel replied emphatically. "Shall we stop??"
"No!!" Jack replied, just as emphatically.
The End
